Gravel One Fifty 2026: more gravel, more safety, more experience

14 oktober 2025

Ravel One Fifty will return in 2026 with a renewed approach focused entirely on growth: of the course, of the experience, and of the sport itself.

The organization has listened carefully to feedback from participants and presents some important adjustments that make the experience even better for runners.

New course with more unpaved terrain

The main distance of 150 kilometers will be covered this year over a preliminary track, two laps, and a finish strip. This makes it possible to add more unpaved kilometers, increase the share of real gravel, and keep the route traffic-free even more effectively.

“Participants asked for more unpaved sections and more gravel, and they are getting it. Moreover, with this setup, we have more control over the event's progress,” says organizer Johan Wekema.

The 80-kilometer distance will of course remain part of the program, with participants riding one instead of two laps.

Women’s competition: a step towards the growth of the sport

Gravel One Fifty is also focusing on the growth of the elite women's competition in 2026. The entry fee for elite women will be lowered to encourage participation. Not as a compensation, but as a conscious investment in the development of the sport. Additionally, this category will have its own starting time at the back of the schedule, so they are not overtaken by age-group riders during the race. Johan Wekema: “We want women to race at Gravel One Fifty under fair and safe conditions. Furthermore, we want to contribute to the maturation of the sport.” The organization aims to have at least 50 elite women at the start line.

New date: April 25, 2025

Where the event previously took place in the summer, Enforce is choosing a new date in the spring this year. This way, the organization hopes to attract participants who want to secure their World Championship qualification quickly. Moreover, the chance of a spring classic on gravel (possibly even with echelons!) is slightly greater, which benefits the distinctive character of the course.

Early registration pays off

The registration opens on October 16 at 20:00. Those who act quickly benefit from an early-bird rate below last year's level. After that, the regular (non-increased) rate applies, and in the last months of registration, Gravel One Fifty will implement a raised rate. “We want to reward loyal participants with an attractive rate in the first weeks, and for us, it ensures a good start to the event,” Wekema says.
